Humble Beginnings, Honest Work
Before the beard balms and the beard oils, life was anything but glamorous. I was working long days turning wrenches as a full-time mechanic. Covered in grease by day, raising my kids by night.
My hands were always busy—fixing engines, making school lunches and like many guys, I was growing a beard simply because shaving every morning didn’t fit into the chaos of every day life. But before long, I realized something:
Growing a beard is easy.
Taking care of it? That’s another story.
A Beard Problem in Need of a Real Solution
Between work and fatherhood, the last thing I needed was an itchy, dry, unmanageable beard. But every product I tried either left my face greasy, dried out, or smelling like some synthetic cologne spill.
I wanted something simple, clean, and yet effective—something made for hardworking guys like me.
So I started creating my own beard products.
What began as a hobby quickly became an obsession. I researched natural oils, tested ingredients, and used myself as the guinea pig. Slowly but surely, I crafted a beard oil that actually worked—it kept my beard soft, my skin healthy, and didn’t smell like a department store aisle.
The Birth of Fox River Beard Company
After sharing my homemade blends with friends, coworkers, and fellow service veterans, the feedback was loud and clear:
“Why are you not selling this?”
So I took the leap.
I named the brand after the Fox River, in Green Bay, WI a place that symbolizes strength, nature, and resilience—everything I wanted this company to stand for.
That’s how Fox River Beard Company was born—right from the garage, with grit in my veins and a dream in my heart.
